Paragon Tea Room is now serving up plant based bubble tea, along with egg waffles (courtesy of Café Eggstatic).

With 5 options to choose from, you’ll find pure ingredients in every item you try. When I visited, I went with the organic hojicha oat. You can select the sweetness of your bubble tea and they recommend 30-50%, but I went unsweetened and it was delicious all on it’s own.

You get more of the flavor of the hojicha and oat milk. The tapioca pearls are soft but still tender and chewy, it’s great to have it not in doused in sugar like most bubble tea places. Even if you were to get it at full sweetness, it’s great to know that the simple syrup is made right in house.

The Egg waffle is a great treat – I’m not quite sure whether this is a temporary pop-up or if it will remain at Porto Café/Paragon Tea Room, but it definitely satisfies my craving for egg waffles! It’s crispy exterior and chewy interior is great, and probably one of the best places for egg waffles in the city.

Since I work so close to this café, I’m going to be visiting a lot more often for bubble tea!
