The night was filled with endless wine and beer and some great eats.
Asides from the eats, we got to traverse the entire store and learn about different items. We started off at the Northern Divine Caviar station – which features sustainable sturgeon caviar. They are the only certified organic caviar producer in North America using only Canadian salt and is free of additives. Their hatchery is located right here on the Sunshine Coast.
Their delicious caviar is not as salty as any other caviar I’ve ever tasted and is quite a delight. For more information and where to buy the caviar, check out their website here.
We also tried the Celebrity Goat Cheese with Cranberry and Cinnamon paired with the Elias Honey. I didn’t get to try some but Nathalie got to and she liked it.
The next station was serving Australian Crocodile (not gator, but crocodile!). They sell the Australian Crocodile at UrbanFare both marinated (which we had) and plain. It was delicious – a bit chewy and had no gamey taste like alligator does. I definitely would love to try and make this at home!
We also tried some RainCoast Crisps, which are one of my favourite crackers – I love that they have so many different flavours but they aren’t too sweet or salty. They’re the perfect pairing with cheese but I enjoy them on their own as well!
We tried Whistler Cooks Catering bottled sauce which are perfect for salads but also for seasoning meats when you’re cooking. I really enjoyed their Miso Honey Cilantro Sauce – it was very clean, light and had a great taste to it.
Finally, Bluebird Cakery and their delicious Red Velvet Cake. This was definitely my favourite of the evening, I’ll have to stop by and pick up a couple cupcakes very soon!
