We were graciously invited to their media event and got to preview some of the menu. We started off with a caesar which packed a nice spicy punch. Probably one of the best caesars in town (I’m not going to lie, I’m not a big caesar fan but I really enjoyed it here in comparison to other places!).
First off the salads – a Kale Salad and the PeaceMaker Cobb Salad. This Peacemaker Cobb Salad has a variety of delicious items in it that I must come back to try!
We also got to try the Fried Gator & Hush Puppies (corn hush puppies), Fried Green Tomato & Prawns, Fried Fanny Bay Oysters, Blackened Albacore Tuna, Fried Chicken on a Biscuit and of course, Freshly shucked oysters. To die for!

What I love about Chewies is definitely their customer service, they are genuinely friendly (and not in a fake give-me-your-tips sort of way) as if you were hanging out with friends. Also ladies, you’re looking at a restaurant with a predominantly male wait staff, so you have that going for you too.

For now, it looks like Chewies Coal Harbour is serving dinner – but hopefully they will expand to brunch like they have at their Kitsilano location! I look forward in frequenting this restaurant real soon.
