I’d like to think of Gastrofork as my adventure journal. I am by no means an expert at too many things but I am curious about practically everything. One genre that I’ve been curious about most recently are cocktails. I recently took a quick bartending course and I had such a great time and it really opened up my eyes to the different types of liquor and the hard labour and love that goes into not only making the perfect cocktail but also crafting that liquor.

While my palate continues to grow for different drinks, I’m fortunate to have people in my life that have helped me through my journey and one of these people happen to be my sister’s fiance and my future bro-in-law, Josh. He is super enthusiastic about learning all facets of mixing and also the culinary arts. I’d like to think that everyone who contributes to Gastrofork are also naturally curious and are in the same position, wanting to quench that curiousity! I also like to think that we don’t take ourselves too seriously and have a lot of fun doing what we do. Hence this video – it came out of a fun collaboration with Nathalie, Josh and myself.

Nathalie and I were filming this video originally to be a quick take on whiskey but as Josh as our hand model and bartender, we thought we’d spice it up a little bit of humour. Without further ado, check out some different ways to enjoy whiskey (and check out the Old Fashioned Cocktail recipe below)!
