If you’re a brunch fan, you’ll love this news: Edible Canada is now serving brunch all week long. It never really occurred to me until recently trying to find a place to brunch midweek is a tough task. Edible Canada has a fairly large brunch menu with over 20 items you can order including mimosa flights.

Brunch hours start at 10am on weekdays and 9am on weekends and holidays.
The new brunch offerings coincide with newly appointed Chef Tobias Grignon, Edible Canada’s Culinary Director and the new culinary program focusing on the very best of the season locally.
Some of the new highlights from the new brunch menu include:
Avocado Benny ($17) – served with grilled tomatoes, goat feta and smashed potatoes. Avocado toast with an egg on top? Probably the best way to start the morning.

Breakfast of Champignons ($18) – created with local mushrooms, Canadian grains, grilled avocado, poached free range eggs, tomato and arugula salad. Mushrooms are flavourful and the dish overall is quite satisfying.
If you’re looking for something lighter and more on the healthier side, you can order the Fruit and Berry Bowl ($11) – made with house made granola, yogurt espuma and buckwheat honey. Overall a nice, clean way to start your day.
There were two dishes that really stood out to me, the Mt. Lehman Duck Poutine and the Octopus Orecchiette.

The Mt. Lehman Duck Poutine ($17) is pulled duck, duck gravy, fried egg and caramelized onions on top of hand cut fries. This dish is delicious and great for sharing. It’s not too salty and the duck is pretty tender.

The Octopus Orecchiette ($19) is made with Italian sausage, saffron, chili, rapini and bread crumbs. The octopus was surprisingly very tender and the bread crumbs gave this dish a bit of crunch. I would definitely order this pasta again, it was really good!
If you’re running around Granville Island, I’d recommend checking out Edible Canada- especially for their brunch features.
