Our latest edition of Foodie Fridays has finally arrived! Today’s feature is on Amy of The Food Queen, as our blogger of the week! I’ve only met Amy recently and have dined with her on several occasions yet she is super fun, so nice and owner of a great appetite (best foodie trait ever!). Amy’s blog features food news and reviews and she even has her own ebook out – The Food Queen’s Guide to Affordable Lunches: Where to Eat Cheap But Delicious Food for Lunch in Vancouver. Check it out!

Amy from The Food Queen.comName: Amy Smith

Blog: The Food Queen

Specializes In: Restaurant reviews and local food news.

Her Most Recent Discovery: The bacon apple fritter from Lucky’s Doughnuts. I love sweet and savoury combinations and it’s delicious.

One Thing She’ll Never Eat: Brains. I don’t find organs very appealing.

Tell us a little about yourself!:  I am currently a business student from Simon Fraser University. When I’m not blogging, I enjoy playing video games, reading, and spending time with my pet lovebird and dog.

Food has always been a passion of mine. I love dining out and before I had my own blog, I read other food blogs religiously. I decided it was time to start my own so I could share my opinions and spread the word on great hidden dining gems around Vancouver. Something that I am particularly in love with is street food because I love the creative dishes they come up with and how they are fast and affordable.

What Do You Want to Try Next? Believe it or not but I’ve never had hot pot. So that is the next thing I want to try.

Where in the world do you want to eat next and what would you eat: I would love to travel all over Europe and eat my way through all of the countries. I especially want to hit up some Parisian bakeries and eat traditional Italian pizza.
