Nathalie De Los Santos (she/they) is a writer and creative. She is one of the festival organizers of the Filipino-Canadian Book Festival. She created PilipinxPages, a bookstagram featuring Filipinx authors. She has appeared on: PechaKucha, CBC, LiterAsian (2020), TFC, OMNI TV and others. Her publications are in Magdaragat: An Anthology of Filipino-Canadian Writing, Canadian Literature, the National Women’s History Museum, Cold Tea Collective, Sampaguita Press, Ricepaper Magazine and more. She hosts the Filipino Fairy Tales, Mythology and Folklore podcast.

Ipoh Malay Cuisine is another local favourite of ours. We’ve taken our friends who grew up in Singapore here and they said the food is pretty authentic. And locals love it, because its always busy when we go. My favourite dishes are the fishball laksa, the roti, and rendang lamb curry. We’ve come so much, we’re also known as the couple that orders two black coffees with our meal. Their coffee is also dark and delicious.

I’ve been asked how does it compare with Hawkers. I actually like and prefer Ipoh over Hawkers, mostly because of location but I also enjoy the atmosphere here better when I can dine in. It is a family restaurant and I enjoy every bit of the experience with Ipoh.
