We got there about an hour or so before closing so there were only two other parties there.
The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Once we sat down and opened the menu, I was surprised that they only had shoyu (pork) as the meat option. It was either that, or no meat at all. I’m not a big fan of pork, but I guess I had no choice. I ordered their Shoyu Miso Ramen and my husband ordered the same but with a little extra meat.
I found the texture of the shoyu chewy and a little dry. There were 2 slices of the shoyu and that was it. The miso soup was watery and the ramen was over cooked.
We also ordered gyozas and they were okay, but nothing out of the ordinary.
I’ve been to several other ramen places and I don’t think I’d ever come back to this one.
Food – ONE FORK
The food was so bland, I had to ask them for the seasoning they usually serve with ramen and I poured half of the bottle into it.
Service – THREE FORKS
Since there was barely anyone in the restaurant, the service was okay.
Value – ONE FORK
I’m not entirely sure if there are any other ramen places in Burnaby, but I would rather make the trek down to Vancouver or Richmond for better ramen.
Ambiance – THREE FORKS
The dining area is small, but clean.
They don’t seem to have a website.
