Twas 7 days before Christmas, and all through the house – you were freaking out because your co-worker bought you a present last minute and you have nothing for them. It happens! Here are my last minute gift ideas that don’t require you trying to do the math on whether it’ll arrive on time.
Wine
In my mind, wine is always the answer for a gift for an adult. If you’re worried they don’t drink or might not enjoy the type of wine you gifted, most likely they will re-gift it or bring it to a party, so win all around. The recommendations below are typically under $25!

Poplar Grove – Pinot Gris
Sandhill – Merlot
Stellers Jay Oliver- Sparkling Rose
Wayne Gretzky Okanagan – Cabernet
Spirits
Again, another great gift that will last a long time (maybe?) or brought to a party. The recommendations below are typically under $45!

Aperol – Barbieri Aperitivo
Amaretto Disaronno
Flor de Cana – Anejo Clasico
Suntory Whisky – Toki

For someone super special in your life that enjoys a fine bottle of whisky, we also recommend House of Suntory Yamazaki 12 Year Old – 100th Anniversary Edition. This limited-edition release celebrates the first and oldest malt distillery in Japan. They also offer their Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish, another limited-edition blend that can be described as smooth, oaky with hints of spice.
Chocolates
Chocolates are a classic this time of year and you can never go wrong – especially with some local favourites like Purdy’s, Beta5, Kasama and Thomas Haas.
Purdy’s Sweet Georgia Browns and Hedgehogs are always a hit in our household.
If you’re able to, the Beta 5 Holiday Cream Puffs are a festive treat to give away, otherwise their Deck The Halls Chocolate collection is always a solid go to for gift giving.

Handcrafted and located right on Granville Island, Kasama Chocolate has some interesting flavours to give to your chocolate loving recipient. Our favourite is their Tanduay Rum with 75% dark chocolate.
Gift Cards
These are a quick find at your local grocery store, and everyone could use a little extra nowadays.
Journals
You can find one at your craft store – even some grocery stores. It’s a great gift to give a creative and you can even pair it with a nice pen. This journal is $19 at Chapters Indigo. The pen $2.99 (one of my favourites as a leftie) from Michaels.
