DineOut Vancouver is back again this January 18th until February 3rd! Every year, restaurants around Vancouver open their doors for customers to try a 3-course menu for either $18, $28 or $38.

Here are my recommendations for 2013’s Dine Out Vancouver!

$38 Menus:

Black + Blue
It’s a great way to try out their menu without breaking the bank. The Truffle Potato Leek Soup sounds great – definitely try their roast, since their meats are the speciality.

Cafe Il Nido
One of the better places for Italian food on Robson, definitely a menu I’m looking forward to trying.

Kirin
What?! Kirin is on this? I love Kirin. If you haven’t been, this is also a great opportunity to try it out.

Kitsilano Daily Kitchen
The menu is a little more diverse than other menus, the cream of roasted winter cauliflower soup sounds great.

L’Abattoir
This romantic restaurant has great ambiance and the food? Amazing. Homemade cavatelli pasta with pancetta, brown butter with sage? Nom.

Miku
Have you ever wanted to try this place out but had no idea what to order? All their signature dishes (ie, aburi) are on the entree menu!

Minami
Sister restaurant to Miku, the menu looks fairly similar – this one is located in Yaletown!

Wildebeest
I’ve heard great things about this place and it’s on my list of places to eat – the menu looks great, so I’ll definitely try and check it out this time around.

Yew
The Yew has got to be one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. Definitely a great date spot, or a ladies night out.  The Lobster & Saffron Risotto sounds heavenly!

$28 Menus:

Catch 122
I love the lunch at Catch 122, so I’m looking forward to trying them out for idnner, and this might be the best reason to!

Forage
I’ve heard such great things about this place, so it’s on my list of places to eat. The menu looks amazing too.

Maenam
I had such a great experience last year for DineOut, I’m recommending it again this year.

Oakwood Canadian Bistro
Known for their amazing brunch, I’m looking forward to trying their dinner. And Sablefish on their menu? I’m sold.

$18 Menus:

The Reef
I love going to the Reef for Jamaican food! Their jerk chicken is great and it’s also on the dineout menu!

Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co.
I discovered this place on my last DOV trek and I absolutely love it here. The flatbreads are fantastic. It’s a definite must try! However, they are a very family friendly restaurant, so it may get a little loud for a date!

The Fish Shack
Another must try!  I think the fish and chips is calling my name..
