We were treated to a mix of their ‘Dine’ and ‘Brunch’ categories to taste: Hasselback Potatoes Stuffed with Cheddar and Bacon, Black Forest Stuffed French Toast, Mixed Mushroom and Comte Strata. All three recipes were on point! So much so, I encourage you to try them out. I will be definitely preparing their Black Forest Stuffed French Toast for future brunches!
We were also treated to some ideas on what to serve for appetizers – there’s a great selection of meats, cheeses, jams and spreads. Some interesting ideas as well like black currant mimosas, PC Speculoos Cookie Butter spread topped with fruit (like strawberries for example) on bread for appetizers. Definitely outside the box.
We had some great design tips from Kelly Deck, including: choosing a theme and sticking with it, thinking vertical when it comes to decoration (so that guests can still see each other across the table) and selecting inexpensive items to glam up your table – like golden or wooden chargers.
If you’re looking for more gifting items their PC Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Popcorn is to die for! It was gone after a minute in my household. They also have tins of Scottish Shortbread, Assorted Nuts and a Spiced Chocolate Collection (which is my second favourite!).
It’s fantastic to see President’s Choice coming into it’s own. It may have it’s name in many places, but to really have a distinct lineup of premium items at a fair price point will help keep Canadians purchasing here rather than south of the border.
