Thankfully the person at the till recommended a couple items which we ended up getting – the Pulled Chicken Sandwich and my BBQ Sundae.
Okay wait, what? A BBQ Sundae you ask? YES. I’d definitely say for purists this might be a little sacreligious BUT …it sounded so intriguing, I had to get it. What you’re getting here is either pork, brisket, chicken or portebello in a cup with your choice of 2 sides and a cornbread muffin ($7.95). I went for the brisket, mac salad and potato salad. Look…this might not be the most beautiful looking dish but you’ve got to try it. It’s such a strangely satisfying way to enjoy BBQ. The potato salad and mac salad are great texture wise and didn’t overpower what was the main star of the show – the BBQ.
I was also surprised how much BBQ they put into the sundae, but you’ll definitely have to give this cup a good mix because most of the BBQ was at the bottom of the cup.
Brian ordered the Pulled Chicken sandwich ($9.95) and it was great – very tender and a great flavoured bbq sauce that wasn’t too sweet but just right. It also comes with two sides – he chose the cornbread and potato salad.
Of course RoRo also offers ribs, burgers and other sandwiches. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you’re in the area!
