I went with my extended family to have a quick dinner. I ordered their tom yum soup and papaya salad. We also ordered an appetizer plate we all shared.
My tom yum ($4.95) was a healthy mix of mushroom, galangal, lemongrass, lime, chilli and lime juice with chunks of tofu. The flavours were bright and a nice, piping hot soup was perfect for the chilly Toronto weather.
My green papaya salad ($6.95) is made with papaya, tomato, chili, dried shrimps and peanuts in a garlic-lime dressing. I asked for it hot and it was damn hot. Not to a point where it was inedible, but a good spicy kind of burn.
Additionally, we ordered the Appetizer Plate ($12.95) and Vegetarian Appetizer Plate ($9.95).
In the Appetizer Plate you’ll find spring rolls, chicken satay, fish cakes, curry puffs, golden bags, calamari and mango salad. There’s a decent amount of food here, so it’s good for 4-ish people to share.
The Vegetarian Appetizer Plate consists of spring rolls, veggie cold rolls, deep fried tofu and vegetables. Again, a good amount of food here, so good for 3-4 people to share.
