If you love discovering amazing new wines (or just love a good night out in Whistler), Cellar Door is one of Cornucopia’s signature events that should be on your radar.

Hosted at the Whistler Conference Centre, Cellar Door brings together more than 25 incredible wineries and some truly standout bottles and we’re talking $35+ hidden gems that don’t often make it out of the cellar. Think of it like having a friend with a very fancy wine collection… who actually wants to share.

Your all-access pass gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace: swirling, sipping, and chatting with producers from both BC and around the world. It’s a great chance to get to know some familiar favourites while also stumbling upon something new to obsess over. There are sweet and savoury bites available throughout the Grand Foyer, but I’d recommend grabbing dinner first at one of Whistler’s great spots to fuel up before you dive into all those pours!

Whether you’re new to wine or already the go-to “what bottle should we bring?” person in your friend group, Cellar Door is all about discovery. Every tasting is a little adventure for your palate.

Some of my favourite wineries at the event include:

  • Burrowing Owl Estate Winery
  • Castello di Bolgheri
  • Château Pesquié
  • Phantom Creek Estates
  • River Stone Estate Winery
  • Stag’s Hollow Winery
  • Tightrope

The setup has a gala-style feel, with stations thoughtfully placed throughout the venue. The space is elegant but lively and made for mingling – so be sure to bring a friend.

If you’re planning a Cornucopia weekend, add this one to your list. Cheers to discovering your next favourite bottle!
