Easter is this weekend – where did the time go? Next thing you’ll know, it’s Christmas again (yes I used the “C” word!). In celebration of Easter and Spring time, Bel Cafe has an assortment of delicious treats to satisfy the traditionalist in you and also the adventurous side.

Please note that I was invited to attend their Easter event but I was not paid nor expected to write a review, all opinions are my own.

Bel’s famous hot cross buns are back, served only during this time of year! You can pre-order on their website, a perfect addition to Easter weekend. They run for $2.80, I got to try them and I have to say I have never been a hot cross bun fan (I find the candied fruit inside too sweet) but this one is quite enjoyable. Not too sweet and freshly made!

They are also offering these super cute solid chocolate rabbits and pastel-coloured Easter themed marshmallows in lime, black currant and strawberry. All items are made in home.

Finally, what I loved the most which will be staying on their menu – dark chocolate caramelized hazelnuts and their milk chocolate almonds. Fantastically indulgent without being heavy or sweet, I literally wanted to steal the entire plate and take it home with me. I will refrain and visit them again like a normal person.
