I was invited to a media preview where Fondway Cafe treated us to what can only be described as a food lover’s dream – a table overflowing with food.
Fondway Cafe is a very gorgeous cafe with modern elements mixed with a little bit of hipster vintage. They have a sizeable selection of different cafe drinks from traditional Americanos to more Asian cafe fare: Honey Lemon Coffee, Grass Jelly Milk Tea, Okinawa Tea Lattes.
They also have an enormous tea selection, as pictured on their tea wall. The teas hail from Germany with an assortment of black, green, herbal and rooibos teas to choose from.
I particularly enjoyed their Grass Jelly Milk tea, it’s refreshing and was not overly sweet.
Fondway Cafe offers many sandwich options, daily soups, salads and cakes by the slice. I love the waffle sandwiches that they served up as well.
Being so close to the mall (right behind the Metrotown skytrain station) makes it a quick jaunt after a day of shopping for some fresh eats without the hectic atmosphere of the mall. I look forward in visiting again when I’m in the area!
