Back for it’s 6th year, the Healthy Family Expo descended upon the Convention Centre last weekend with over 200 exhibitors focused on healthy and active lifestyles for families.

The Healthy Family Expo is truly the best for families, particularly with younger kids as there’s plenty for them to do as well: 35,000 square foot Active Kid Zone that included CircusWest tightwire and stilts workshops which were new this year, Safe Archery, a Toddler Sandbox, Springfree Trampoline, a rock climbing wall, bouncy cancels, face painting and much more including live shows!

For the parents, you’ll find a huge offering of healthy snacks and beverages – many of which you can sample in the Whole Foods Market and London Drugs zones.

Some of my favourite companies were there, along with some new ones that I discovered including:

AspenClean – I love using natural products wherever I can, and cleaning is one of those areas that are essential to me, especially having a baby.

Baby Mum-Mum – Winston loves gnawing on these and it’s always great to find new flavours for him.

Cultus Lake Adventure and Water Park – I used to love going to Cultus Lake Water Park and I can’t wait until Winston is old enough to take him along with me!

Health-Ade Kombucha – There are many kombucha products out there, it’s always nice to find a new one! I like this particular brand because they have some spicy options like Cayenne Cleanse and Jalpaeno Kiwi Cucumber.

Hippie Snacks – I’m obsessed with their Coconut Clusters (sesame is my favourite) and Coconut Chips, but I had no idea they had Avocado and Cauliflower crisps as well.

Hydralyte – Kids get sick and it’s no fun. I like Hydralyte simply because it does what regular sports drinks do but with up to 75% less sugar and 4x the electrolytes.

LoveChild Organics – Winston is starting to eat purees and as much as I want to be *that* mom to make him purees, sometimes it’s just too exhausting to do so. This is where LoveChild Organics purees come in – they’re great tasting, nutritious and free of artifical preservatives, sugars, sodium or fillers.

MadeGood – I first came across MadeGood in Costco with their chocolate chip granola bars – they’re allergy friendly which is perfect for a lot of my friends’ little ones. I recently came across their Soft Baked Mini Cookies (chocolate banana is my favourite) and I love them!

TJ’s The Kiddies Store – One of the many places you can purchase baby items in the city. I live very close to one and what I really love about them is that we were able to go in-store and try out some of the strollers before making the big purchase.

No matter what stage you are in your parenting journey, the Healthy Family Expo definitely has something for you. I hope I can take Winston to it next year!
