What’s most important (for me anyway) is that they carry Stumptown coffee. If you aren’t familiar, Stumptown is a fairly well known brand of coffee hailing from food mecca Portland.
“We could not be more delighted to have such a great representative brewing our coffees in Vancouver.” says Greg Hjort of Stumptown Coffee.
The coffee portion of the store is right at the front where they serve everything from espressos to lattes. They will also be installing a tap to serve Stumptown’s cold brew. All baristas working at Lukes have had extensive training at Stumptown’s Seattle roasting house, so no weak links here.
This pop up location will be around for at least 6 months, and from what I gathered from chatting with a couple of people last night will most likely be a permanent installation to Vancouver’s burgeoning Chinatown hipster scene.
We met this fellow and Nathalie had mentioned how cool it was that his face was on the cups. He was saying that his employees took a pic of him without telling him what it was for and then bam! the cups. He cracked a joke about how his fae will be in several trash cans now!
