You know it happens every holiday season – the unexpected visitor. If you’re lucky enough to have more than 24 hour notice, I suggest saving the running around by ordering off of Spud.ca . They’ve got everything you need to throw a impromptu snack session, dinner or even party and depending on what time you order – they could have it at your doorstep the next day.

Here are some ideas to whip up a delicious charcuterie board and drinks. Please note that the prices are from the time of writing this post.

Benton Brothers Comte Arnaud ($11.99) and Double Cream Brie Lancelot ($9.99) – both delicious choices and gives you a hard cheese and soft cheese.

Farmhouse traditional clothbound aged cheddar wedge ($11.99) – every charcuterie board is not complete without a sharp cheddar.

Two Rivers Meat – Noisette charcuterie salami ($12.49) and Chorizo charcuterie salami ($12.49) – my house loves a good salami and supporting great local companies.

Gusta Foods organic vegan pate – original ($5.99) – I can’t believe this pate is vegan, it’s very tasty.

Gone Crackers Parmesan & rosemary crackers ($7.49) – these crackers are perfect to make your board feel more upscale.

Kii naturals organic cranberry + cashew crisps ($6.49) – I like the blend of nut and fruit in a cracker, it just balances out the meaty-ness of a board.

Saunders Family Farm cranberry jalapeno jelly ($10.49) – Jelly is a fun thing to have on a board to mix up the textures.

Sable & Rosenfeld mediterranean olive bruschetta – ($10.99) – we also love a good bruschetta. And if for some odd reason you have left over, it’s perfect on day old bread if you throw some olive oil over it and toast it.

La Croix coconut sparkling water ($5.79) – This gives a nice sweetness without the calories.

Aelo cocktails peach bellini – ($14.29) – another staple in our house hold, we absolutely love Aelo cocktails of all sorts, but the Peach Bellini flavour is our favourite.

Walter Craft caesar mix – classic spiced – ($9.59) – You’d be hard pressed to find a better Caesar mix – another staple in our household.

Organic Ready-to-Bake- Chocolate Croissants – ($17.99) – if you’re having guests over in the morning or early afternoon, these are perfect to serve – plus your house will smell so good!

Blume Organic Superfood Latte – Reishi Hot Cocoa Blend – ($24.99) – nothing is more cozy than a nice cup of hot chocolate – Blume has created a superfood latte that tastes so close to it but with the added benefits reishi mushroom.
